Murukku

INGREDIENTS: >>>>>>>>>>>>

 1. Boiled moong dal-1cup
 2. Rice flour-4 cups
 3. Sesame seeds-1 table spoon
 4. Shortening/clarified butter-2 teaspoon
 5. Salt-to taste 6. Red chili powder-1 teaspoon
 7. Cumin-1/2 teaspoon
 8. Oil-for deep frying


 METHOD: >>>>>>>>

 1.First dry roast moong dal for 2 minutes and then pressure cook with enough water. Drain excess water. Transfer dal into a bowl and mash it to get a smooth paste.

2. Add all the ingredients and knead well to make a fine dough. Add some water if needed.

3.  Make into small balls,and put in the murukku press . Then press in hot oil and deep fry in medium flame.

 4. Cool and store in air tight container
